Special Edition: "On the DL"
Brendan reminded me about this quiet little blog called On the DL
which covers the um, off-field activities of baseball players.
This week they targeted the A's as they encounter Lick Girl.
These photos say the whole story.
She tries to lick Huston Street.She tries to lick Joe Blanton.
She tries to lick Nick Swisher.
She tries......but Joe Kennedy would have none of it.
And suddenly, I respect Joe Kennedy so much I can't wait for him to get
back from the DL!

Yeah, that is funny. Probably gender dynamics, views towards alcohol consumption and subsequent behaviors, views on celebrity entitlement, etc. coming into play.
I notice that the pic of Kennedy might have been taken at a different occasion -- can't be sure. But the ring he's wearing on the finger where people usually wear a wedding ring is visible as he pushes that Lick Girl's face away.
Actually I root for the single guys to get their face licked as often as possible. I will agree that it is refreshing to see a married baseball player turn down the advances of a young woman. So rare.
