Game #24: postponed due to rain

This is weird. I don't think I've ever been aware of this happening in my short period of being an A's fan.
I had the radio on when Loaiza loaded the bases for the second time in the 1st inning and, though he got out of it, I was already disgusted. The Royals are able to score one more run before the inclement weather forces them to stop playing.
Lucky for you, Loaiza! You receive a get-out-of-jail card with this one.
Lucky for the A's, their 11-game winning streak against the Royals remains intact.

The Game Has Been Postponed Due To Rain And Will Be Rescheduled As Part Of A Doubleheader On Friday, August 18th At 5:10 PM EDT. The Second Game Will Begin 30 Minutes After The Completion Of Game One. [espn.com]

Even though I am glad the game was rained out, you have feel bad for Reggie Sanders. He his grand slam in the first inning will never count for anything. That's like having your favorite meal dropped on the floor right in front of you as its about to be served.
